'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Cast Revealed In New Vanity Fair Covers

Disney and Lucasfilm carefully plot the reveal of each “Star Wars” movie, with a marketing campaign that moves with unerring precision, often teaming with a particular media partner for each rollout. And this week, fans are going to get a new batch of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” news in the pages of Vanity Fair, but as a little preview, portraits of the cast have been revealed.

Shot by the legendary Annie Liebovitz, the one major takeaway is that we’re now entering the phase of the saga centered where the new characters are coming to the fore, as Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker returns. Han Solo met his end in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” while Carrie Fisher sadly passed away last year after completing her work on the film, with Leia Organa not set to appear in any fashion in “Star Wars: Episode IX.” Also, it looks like Captain Phasma will be back, and will presumably be doing more this time around, and we get a look at new addition, Kelly Marie Tran.
