'Suicide Squad' Has A Scene Directed By Zack Snyder

**Spoilers ahead** In case you’ve just returned from outer space and are waking from a galactic slumber, there is something you should know: DC Films is now trying to do their own Marvel-style thing, and it hasn’t been working out so well. This spring “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” managed to make everyone hate two of the most popular superheroes ever, so Warner Bros. was hoping this weekend’s “Suicide Squad” would change course. That didn’t quite happen either, leading to no shortage of talk about the behind-the-scenes woes the picture faced, and the tough road that lies ahead to box-office glory beyond what is sure to be a boffo opening weekend.

However, it has not been for lack of really trying on WB’s part. The studio has been determined to craft a crowd-pleasing, fanboy-approved hit, going so far as to finance some not-insignificant reshoots this spring. There are also a handful of connections to other Justice League characters, with Ben Affleck‘s Batman dropping by and another cameo by Ezra Miller‘s The Flash. But there’s something about that latter scene you should know — it was actually directed by ‘Dawn Of Justice’ helmer Zack Snyder.

“…we just got lucky because ‘Justice League’ was happening and they had the uniform, they had the assets, so we were able to get that photography,” David Ayer, director of “Suicide Squad,” told Collider about how the scene that was shot by Snyder in London as post-production was happening on the film. However, Ayer says having a Flash scene in the movie was always part of the plan.

So, there’s one more nugget of intel before you see “Suicide Squad” this weekend.
