Supervillains Come Out To Play In Over 20 New Images From 'Suicide Squad'

With Warner Bros. clearly spending an insane amount of money on marketing “Suicide Squad,” releasing a handful of character trailers this week, with more to come, here’s the question I’m wondering: does this mean they’re going to keep the movie out of their San Diego Comic Con presentation tomorrow? The studio has a lot to talk about in Hall H, and with “Suicide Squad” opening in two short weeks, and press days to come, I could see them doing something small for “Suicide Squad” and shining a light on the number of tentpoles they have on the way. But then again, they need “Suicide Squad” to be big, so the release of these new images could be a puzzle piece of a much larger promotional picture.

Either way, there’s plenty of new looks here at all your faves and randos, like the guy Jay Hernandez is playing, whose name I don’t even know yet. But as you know, the general gist of the movie is that the baddest of the bad are recruited for a dangerous mission, leading to some colorful results. Also, Batman shows up.

“Suicide Squad” opens on August 5th.
