No film came out of this year’s SXSW with as much heat as Edgar Wright‘s “Baby Driver.” The hybrid of action, music, and comedy blew the roof off, and the studio suits felt so good about it they moved the release date up. Now comes another quick trailer to get the blood pumping.

Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, Jon Bernthal, Eiza González, Jon Hamm, and Jamie Foxx star in the movie about a getaway driver who winds up on the wrong end of a bad deal, and has to put the pedal to the metal to find his way out. Here’s the official synopsis:

A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

“Baby Driver” opens on June 28th.

Hey playlist, you call yourself the sweet spot where movies and music meet and here we have a film that reportedly uses music the whole way through and even though you’ve seen it, you can post an article on the “playlist” it uses? I can’t find a list for the songs used in the movie anywhere. I know you’re probably waiting until closer to the release date to do one of your obligatory “all the music used in…” pieces, but throw me a bone

Usually, soundtrack details aren’t available this early. Believe me, when the full list hits, we’ll be on it.

I know and I wasn’t trying to sound snarky, but your reviewer should’ve snagged some screen shots of the credits or something 🙂
