This is two sides featuring 26 minutes of pretty damn scary music. I don't usually listen to the whole ambient noise doom mood horror music, but this 10" picture disc looked way too cool to pass up (plus, I'm not buying enough vinyl). I'm not quite sure what to make of it after giving it some listens, except to say that this will scare the living hell out of unwanted kids.
WVRM is about as bass heavy as you can get. The tracks are mostly bass with some other sounds mixed in there to add texture. Side 2 (or the side that doesn't have the awesome worm on it) has some screaming vocals in the background, which really makes the song (if you could call it that) stand out.
This is an acquired taste, and I'm sure that Burial Chamber Trio and the people at Southern Lord know this. Not many people will pick this up along with the new Panic at the Disco album, but there are people who are into this style of music (which I know some people would argue to death that its not music; I disagree), and this is a pretty good slab of vinyl for those types.
