Leftover Crack/Citizen Fish
Fat

I'm not sure why this seemed like an odd pairing to me when I first heard of the upcoming split releases between these two bands. Both bands play politically charged ska punk with a lot of anger, and both bands do it well.

Leftover Crack sounds very much like themselves, a band with quite a distinct sound (though they sound similar to their other bands-i.e. Choking Victim, INDK) straight from a gutter. This is a really great song with its ska verse and crust punk chorus while still maintaining its intensity.

Its been awhile since I last listened to Citizen Fish, but their song, "Meltdown," is right up to par with everything else they've released, if not slightly better. The song has a high amount of energy and there is a good time vibe to it that contrasts well with its doomsday overtones.

This is a nice preview to the upcoming split album from these two bands. The two songs go by awfully quick, and I'm really looking forward to hearing the new material from both bands.
