Final Fight/Life Long Tragedy
Deathwish Inc.
2006

Final Fight play fast pissed off yet melodic hardcore. Their songs are intricate and have a certain tenacity to them. The music is very in your face and the melodic guitar lines are outstanding. These songs are equipt with sing alongs and intensity, and are over much too quickly.

Life Long Tragedy have a lot of potential, which is quite evident on these two songs, but their songs need a little more focus, as parts seem to be jarbled up and all over the place. They go more for an epic hardcore style Modern Life is War sound, but something sounds off (it seems like the vocals don't fit quite well, especially on "Soul Search Party"). Thats not to say that they're not enjoyable, as they are, but they need some fine tuning (they should stick with the slower and more grinding tempo like "Sweet Innocence," using that style to build up to a great payoff), especially since the flipside of their split features an awesome band in Final Fight.
