Lords-Moral Darkness
Auxiliary
2005

This may have been the deal of the year for me, as I found this seven inch in the sale bin for $1.99. I was a bit stunned to find such a great deal, especially since this record came out in 2005 from a relatively prominent band, but I was more than glad to purchase it.

Lords bring three original punk rock and roll songs and a Faith No More cover. They play so gritty and dirty and don't let you forget that there are hardcore roots to this band. I'm reminded a lot of The Bronx covering Murphys Law, but they also throw in some punk rock melody, ala The Explosion.

The B Side of the album features an experimental hardcore song called "Nothing Follows," which is slow, sludgy and sounds like something Black Flag would have written during their My War sessions.

My only gripe with Lords is that I've been too stupid to purchase their new full length on Jade Tree. This is a great pickup for any fan of punk rock and/or hardcore.
