This release gives people a taste of two New England punk rock/hardcore bands that aren't nationally known. Reason to Fight deliver two songs of raw and brash, knuckles out hardcore, full of great slam dance breakdowns and gang vocal sing alongs that make for a good live performance. Fuzzy has a voice that is sort of a hard to describe gruff yet melodic yell, but it works really well for the band.
The 86'd deliver catchy melodic working class street punk. The vocals of Magoo are, like Fuzzy's, gruff and melodic, and he sings in a style that is easy to sing along to. They sing about the downfall of the working man, with simple sing along song writing that may cause people to take note. Both songs are pretty much about the same thing, though told in different ways.
This is a good look at the under-underground in this area. This release features two very working class bands that are playing for the love of punk rock, hardcore, and having fun creating music; with both bands doing a good job of it.
