When thinking of adjectives to describe the three Shipwreck songs on here, the word "crunchy" comes to mind. The guitars, with their syncopated breakdowns and fast cuffing, remind me of someone walking on eggshells while rocking out to Ringworm and Modern Life is War. I absolutely adore the guitar sound on this EP, so hard and in your face (not to mention "crunchy"), it becomes my main focus of attention, though the heavy as all hell vocals aren't very far behind. The rhythm section is up to par with ensuring that the heaviness is at the right level, making this a pretty damn powerful three song release.
