Lifetime is easily the first band that comes to mind when listening to The Shook Ones. This is my first taste of what they have to offer, and I can't get the Lifetime feel out of my head. The vocals are eerily similar, and they both play uptempo pop punk that is very enjoyable to listen to.
This seven inch EP features two songs and a Leatherface cover, and I'm digging everything. Its so refreshing to hear new bands play this style without sounding like a carbon copy. The Shook Ones have style and they know how to write a catchy and energetic song.
The Shook Ones are a lot of fun to listen to, leaving me pretty stoked to hear what they are going to come out with next. I think this band could be Revelation's next band to take over the world, as they can appeal to pretty much any fan of "punk" music.
