This is one of the most clever titles ever for a 7" precursor to a full length album. These Arms Are Snakes present the track "Horse Girl" off their new full length Easter (I'm sure you get it), as well as the non album track "Old Paradise."
"Horse Girl," which happens to be one of the greatest names ever for a song, is everything you'd expect to hear in a new These Arms Are Snakes song. They don't tweak with their sound one bit, making for an expected but still amazing listen. This song is full of controlled chaos: wavy guitar lines mixed with a bass line you can dance to, vocals that are full of high energy, and drums being the instrument that, while still being technical, holds this chaotic force together.
"Old Paradise" is a slower song, but all of the elements of These Arms Are Snakes are still present. This is truly an amazing band that I almost forgot about between releases. In addition to being a rare release (only 2,000 copies were printed), Good Friday serves as a giant wake up call to These Arms Are Snakes fans not to forget about Easter.
