Watch: 3 Clips From 'The Kings Of Summer' Plus Stream The Soundtrack

Kings of SummerLast week we showed you the fantastic trailer for the Sundance hit “The Kings of Summer,” and this week we have some clips for you from Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ directorial debut, as well as the entire soundtrack, steeped in tones of 8-bit heroism, to watch and listen to below.

The clips sell themselves less on the essential premise of the film (three friends on the cusp of adolescence run away to the woods to spend the summer living free) and more on the better-known faces among the supporting cast: Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman play parents, and Alison Brie an older sister (and if you don’t know who those three geniuses are, get thee to NBC). It might be nice to see more clips featuring the actual heart of the film, but there’s no denying that these three bits are brilliantly funny (and, in the case of Mullally’s teasing of her son, promisingly awkward). Consider us excited.

The soundtrack is available starting today at your favorite digital retailer, while the film opens this Friday, May 31st in limited release. [Vulture/Paste]
