Watch: Beyoncé Goes Terrence Malick In Trailer For 'Lemonade'

LemonadeIf you were adjacent to the Twittersphere over the weekend, you likely noticed that Beyoncé fans were freaking out over "Lemonade." Bey surprised everyone with a trailer for a mysterious event on HBO next weekend, that I would assume will be tied into a new album, but at any rate, it’s promising some cinematic stuff.

Playing not unlike the recent work of Terrence Malick, the teaser is heavy on imagery and Beyoncé whispering some stuff that wouldn’t be out of place in one of his films ("The past and present merge to meet us here"; "Why can’t you see me?" for example). It’s effectively mysterious though also borders on parody.

We’ll find out what "Lemonade" is all about on Saturday, April 24th at 8 PM. Watch below.
