Watch: First Teaser For Marvel & Netflix’s ‘Iron Fist’ Starring Finn Jones

Well, that certainly didn’t take long. Marvel’s Netflix panel tonight at Comic-Con unveiled new teaser trailers for “Luke Cage,” “The Defenders” team-up film and a sizzle reel for all the shows that have aired on the streaming service so far including “Jessica Jones” and a brief look at “The Punisher” from “Daredevil” season two.

Also revealed to the audience was a brief teaser for “Iron Fist,” the last new show in Marvel’s five series plan that may not hit Netflix until 2017. The quick speculation was that the first look video — starring “Game Of Thrones” actor Finn Jones, who plays the lead character — wouldn’t be released online. But guess again, the very quick teaser has made its way online and shows a kind of “Batman Begins”-like life for the character Danny Rand who loses his parents and then is trained in the art of a mystical kung-fu before returning to New York years later. Presumably for some kind of revenge.

There’s no release date for “Iron Fist,” but with “Luke Cage” hitting the streaming service in September and Netflix generally keen on spreading their shows out by about six months, it’s a strong bet we’ll see the show premiere in February or sometime early Q1.
