Watch: First Trailer For Marvel's 'Doctor Strange' Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton And More

Doctor StrangeThere is no such thing as a "risk" anymore at Marvel. The comic book movie studio maybe have entertained notions of uncertainty with movies like "Thor" or even "Ant-Man," but these days, the machine is running so smoothly that even "Doctor Strange" doesn’t seem so far fetched. And now the first trailer is here to show off what the studio will be selling over the next few months until the picture comes out this fall.

Benedict Cumberbatch takes the title role alongside a helluva cast which includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton, with Scott Derrickson directing the movie about neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Isn’t that always the way? In any event, Kevin Feige promises the movie will be worth seeing in 3D.

"We were in VFX reviews the other day, one of the first ones for [‘Dr. Strange’] — we just wrapped, we finished in New York…we did one of the first reviews and it was pretty exciting. It was pretty cool in terms of how 3D can serve that story. You know, sometimes 3D is a tool, like it is in ‘Civil War,’ a tool of — another toy in the sandbox of how the Russos can present this movie, then there are times like what Disney is putting out with ‘The Jungle Book’ — it’s certainly gonna be the case with ‘Doctor Strange’ — that it serves the storytelling, that it advances the storytelling," he told Collider. "And hopefully it helps bend people’s minds even more than with just the flat screen."

Ready to have your mind bent? "Doctor Strange" opens on November 4th.
