If you haven’t seen it, “Catastrophe” is one of the best things on TV — the Channel 4/Amazon series, co-written by Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney, is one of the most honest and funny takes on the romantic comedy in a long time, full of both truthful moments and amazing swearing. The second season hit Amazon recently, and it sounds like it’s going to be a little while before the next one, but to serve as a stopgap, and hopefully something more, Horgan has a new series coming to HBO in the fall, and the first teaser just arrived for it.

“Divorce,” written by Horgan, stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church as a couple getting into middle age when they decide to split up, with the show following their increasingly acrimonious break-up. It doesn’t seem to be reinventing the wheel, but the glimpse, debuted via Sarah Jessica Parker’s Instagram (what a world we live in), has plenty of laughs to it and suggests the best roles that either have had in a while.
Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam, Tracy Letts and Robert Forster are also among the cast, while “Girls” veteran Jesse Peretz will be one of the directors.
