Watch The First Trailer For Jonathan Demme & Netflix's 'Justin Timberlake & The Tennessee Kids'

We hope it doesn’t come across as a knock on Justin Timberlake, who is very talented on a number of levels, that seeing his new concert doc wasn’t necessarily on the top of our fall to-do list. But then we learned that the film, which premieres at TIFF soon, was directed by Jonathan Demme.

Demme’s not just the director of “The Silence Of The Lambs” et al., but he also made arguably the greatest concert movie of all time with Talking Heads’ classic “Stop Making Sense.” So that he’s involved in “Justin Timberlake And The Tennessee Kids” immediately makes it something of a must see. And you’ll be able to see it very soon, as Netflix have just announced that they’ve picked it up, and will be released next year.

The film documents the final show on an epic two-year tour, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and the first trailer makes it look like a potential must-see for fans of both Timberlake and Demme. The film hits Netflix on October 12th — watch the trailer below.
