Watch The Full First Episode Of Donald Glover's Acclaimed FX Comedy 'Atlanta'

From the moment that he broke out on “Community” (having already been a writer on “30 Rock” for its first few years), Donald Glover seemed destined for stardom. He was good looking, had impeccable comic timing , and was built for almost anything. But the big breakout didn’t seem to come: Glover appeared to have an uneasy relationship with stardom, mostly eschewing movie roles in favor of his hip hop alter ego Childish Gambino, and eventually leaving “Community” to focus on his own stuff.

But it looks to finally be happening, and on his terms: after a turn in “The Martian” last year, Glover’s rumored to be playing Lando Calrissian in Lord & Miller’s “Han Solo” movie. But more pertinently for today, the first episode of “Atlanta,” the TV show he created and stars in, just debuted last night on FX.

Set in the titular city, the show follows Glover as an aspiring hip-hop manager attempting to launch his cousin (Brian Tyree Henry) to musical stardom. And while they might make it sound worryingly “Entourage”-esque, the show’s had tremendous reviews. And if you missed it, or don’t have FX, you’re in luck, because the network have put the show’s first episode on YouTube for all to see (so long as you live in the U.S: sorry, international readers, you’ll have to be a little more patient).

We’ve haven’t had a second to check the show out for ourselves, but between the reviews and our love for Glover, who’s long deserved a vehicle like this, we can’t wait to. Watch the show below, and you can check it out on Tuesdays on FX from here on out. [Shadow And Act]
