Watch: Hit The Road With 2 New Clips From Alexander Payne's 'Nebraska'

Nebraska

The fall movie-going season tends to be dominated either holiday event movies, or star-studded dramas with a keen eye on awards season baubles, which is what perhaps makes Alexander Payne‘s “Nebraska” such an intriguing alternative option. Featuring no A-list stars, presented in black-and-white and detailing a story set amongst Midwestern America, it’s the sort of character driven stuff we wait most of the year for, and with a splashy New York Film Festival premiere coming up, some new clips have arrived highlighting it’s low key approach.

Cannes Best Actor winner Bruce Dern leads the flick, playing a stubborn old man who believes he’s won a million dollar sweepstakes prize and needs to get to Lincoln, Nebraska to claim it. After trying to get there on his own, his son Dave (Will Forte) agrees to drive him there, and it’s there where our story begins. And in these two new clips, you can see how even the promise of money brings various folks out of the woodwork looking to get their share, all while Dave and his father re-connect on this journey.

“Nebraska” hits the road on November 22nd. Watch below.
