Watch: New Trailer For Werner Herzog-Endorsed 'Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter' Starring Rinko Kikuchi

Kumiko The Treasure Hunter"A very beautiful, deep, and touching film," Werner Herzog is quoted as saying in the new trailer for "Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter." Considering this comes from a guy who often admits he doesn’t watch much in the way of contemporary film, that’s an endorsement you’ll want to keep in mind when you check out this brand new trailer.

Rinko Kikuchi leads the oddball tale that follows a young Japanese woman who watches the Coen Brothers classic "Fargo," and, thinking it’s a documentary, heads to North Dakota to find the suitcase of stolen cash buried in the snow. When she arrives in America, her adventures go much further she ever imagined. It’s a unique concept, pulled off with some measure of style by director David Zeller, and our review out of Sundance last year called it, "a striking film, a bizarre joy and a beautiful delight."

"Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter" opens on March 18th in New York and on March 20th in Los Angeles. Watch below.
