Watch: Nicolas Winding Refn Talks 'Jodorowsky's Dune' In Clip From Documentary Plus New Poster

Jodorowsky's Dune

So, just how much fun is “Jodorowsky’s Dune“? When I saw it last year at Cannes, it screened without English subtitles during certain portions of the multilingual film, but I was still able to put together 5 Things You’ll Learn from the movie. And when our own Jessica Kiang caught up with it at the recent Goteborg Film Festival, she was just as taken as I was, declaring Frank Pavitch‘s documentary an “unalloyed pleasure… about the value and power of creative passion.”

With the movie now on the way to cinemas, here’s a little taste, with a clip from the movie featuring a variety of the talking heads—including Alejandro Jodorowsky‘s friend Nicolas Winding Refn—speaking about the sheer ambition of Jodorowsky’s mooted “Dune.” Lovingly called “the greatest science fiction movie never made,” it truly would’ve been a wonder if it actually came together, with Jodorowsky, remarkably, lining up the talents of H. R. Giger, Chris Foss, Pink Floyd, Salvador Dali, David Carradine, Mick Jagger and Orson Welles to take part (among others) before it all fell apart.

Check out the clip below followed by a pretty great new poster (via Collider), and be sure to see this thing when it opens on March 21st.
