Watch The Ominous Trailer For The 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Finale

**SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLY** Is it just us, or has it been an atypically upbeat season of “Game Of Thrones?” Sure, there’s been the fair share of bloodletting, and a smattering of major characters have been added to the proverbial Hall of Faces. But almost as many beloved figures thought dead were resurrected, some of the most malevolent villains have been vanquished, and Hodor aside, the characters who did kick it were either newly introduced, or functionally irrelevant (R.I.P. Trysante Martell, said no one ever).

But even with Winterfell back in Stark hands, you’ll forgive us if we’re not resting too easy, because there’s still one more episode to go, and HBO’s new trailer for it has some decidedly foreboding qualities. Titled “The Winds Of Winter” (after the yet-to-be-completed sixth book in George R. R. Martin’s book series), it looks to move South for a potential confrontation with the High Sparrow, while also picking up some revelations that Davos made over Melisandre, and, most intriguingly (and perhaps concerningly), seems to return to the scene of the Red Wedding for another Frey shindig.

In a season with more wins than losses, we wouldn’t necessarily expect that to continue, especially with a title like that, but we can’t wait to find out either way. The episode will air next Sunday: watch the trailer below.
