Watch: Paul Thomas Anderson-Directed Video For Radiohead's "Daydream"

When Radiohead decides to do something, it’s a goddamn event, and this week fans were treated to “Burn The Witch,” the animated, “The Wicker Man“-inspired video from the band’s forthcoming album. And now they’re raising the stakes with a video directed by none other than Paul Thomas Anderson.

“Daydream” features Thom Yorke walking through a variety of urban settings as the six-minute song unfolds, before finally curling up in a snowy cave beside a fire. (As one does.) Of course, the director/band connection comes from Jonny Greenwood, who has scored Anderson’s last three films, and was part of the musical ensemble in the documentary “Junun.” And while no DP is listed, the video is gorgeous, and I’d be curious to find out who lensed it.

The new Radiohead album drops on Sunday night.
