Watch: Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez Watch 'Clerks 2' & Give Advice To Kevin Smith

Clerks 21994 saw two groundbreaking movies arrive: Quentin Tarantino‘s "Pulp Fiction" and Kevin Smith‘s "Clerks." The films couldn’t be more different — one was a star-studded, sprawling crime flick, while the other was a small comedy made on credit cards and starred a bunch of nobodies. Still, they both had a couple of things in common: a unique voice and the support of Harvey Weinstein. It’s no surprise that Smith and Tarantino crossed paths, and become buds, but you might not know they’ve kept in touch in the years since.

A dozen years after the original, Smith returned with "Clerks II," and understandably the director felt some pressure. So he screened the movie for his pals Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez to get some advice. The result was captured on camera and became a DVD extra (with Reddit digging it up recently). It’s an interesting watch, not necessarily for what’s discussed, but to see how nervous Smith is about this movie, as he works out what he’s trying to convey with the sequel. For anyone thinking he just knocked it out without any thought, it’s worth checking out, so click play below.
