Watch: Sean Penn Returns From The Oscars With A New Trailer For 'The Gunman'

The GunmanIn a night filled with oddball decisions, we’re not sure who decided to lug out a comatose Sean Penn to close off the Oscars with a misjudged green card joke, coupled with an attitude that he’d rather be anywhere else, but Open Road is hoping to get some post-awards show leverage. They’ve just dropped a new trailer for Penn’s next flick "The Gunman." So let’s take a look, shall we?

Co-starring heavyweights Javier Bardem, Idris Elba and Ray Winstone, but don’t get too excited. This is from the director of "Taken," and tells a story worthy of Liam Neeson, involving an operative who is drawn back into a dangerous game because of something or other yadda yadda yadda growl grunt explosion. You know the drill. Frankly, I woulda figured this was beneath Penn’s paygrade, but I guess not.

"The Gunman" unloads on March 20th. Watch below.
