Watch: Sexually Charged U.S. Trailer For François Ozon's 'Young & Beautiful'

Young & Beautiful

Coming of age and prostitution blend together in the latest from François Ozon (“Swimming Pool,” “8 Women“), a provocative drama that unspooled at the Cannes Film Festival last year. And after a stint on the festival circuit, “Young & Beautiful” is heading to U.S. theatres, and a new trailer has arrived.

Marine Vacth leads the film, playing a seemingly otherwise normal 17-year-old girl, who sidelines as a prostitute, setting up her own appointments and keeping a roster of clients. It’s certainly an interesting premise to explore the sexual awakening of a young woman, but Ozon often keeps motivations unexplored, with the film missing “an opportunity to say something definitively different about being seventeen.”

Boasting a soundtrack that features M83, Crystal Castles, Vitalic and more, “Young & Beautiful” opens in limited release and hits VOD on April 25th.
