Watch: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Reunite In The New Trailer For ‘Sisters’

Sisters
You’re thinking what we’re thinking: why is it that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and are, like, the funniest two people on the planet each time they host the Golden Globes, and yet, they can’t seem to make a decent comedy together. We know they’ve tried, repeatedly! OK, “Baby Mama” is really the only feature-length effort they’ve attempted together, so maybe the second time is the charm!

The movie centers on two sisters (natch) trying to throw a final party at their house, which their parents are about to sell. Here’s the official synopsis:

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite for Sisters, a new film from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.

The movie is stacked with supporting talent and co-stars Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, John Leguizamo, Dianne Wiest, John Cena and James Brolin

Directed by Jason Moore, the helmer behind the original “Pitch Perfect,” “Sisters is in theater everywhere on December 18. That’s the same date as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” so you could call it the ballsiest counter-programming move ever. Check out the new trailer and poster below.
