'Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later' With Adam Scott

In college, whipping out your DVD of “Wet Hot American Summer ” was the best way to notify people of your inherent awesomeness, and carefully monitoring the reactions of others to the said whipping out was the best way to find other, equally awesome people. Sure, pretty much every hipster millennial has jumped on the bandwagon since, but can you really blame them? It was and remains an amazing and hilarious movie.

Your thoughts on the prequel aside, this sequel was promised by Bradley Cooper’s Ben back on the last day of camp in 1981 when he suggested that all the characters should meet again in ten years from then, and now, 10 years later in movie time but 16 years of reality time later, it’s finally happening! In “Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later,” all of your favorite characters are returning, except for one: Bradley Cooper’s Ben! But news broke pretty fast that Adam Scott would join the cast in a “surprise role,” and it has since been confirmed that he will be the new Ben. Just hope McKinley is cool with that.

About the swap, co-writer Michael Showalter spoke to Entertainment Weekly and said, “I like unapologetically just swapping out the actor. The idea that seemed so silly was that he had a nose job and is worried that people won’t recognize him, and the joke is that everybody recognizes him completely and says that you can barely notice it. Essentially what we’re saying is: If Bradley Cooper got a nose job, he would look like Adam Scott.”
