Zack Snyder Goes Noir In First Look At J.K. Simmons In 'Justice League'

It’s “Justice League” Black & Chrome” edition! Okay, not quite, but in showing off the first look at J.K. Simmons in his upcoming film, Zack Snyder has gone monochrome, and a little bit noir, indicating that maybe his next movie should be about a gumshoe instead of superheroes.

At any rate, Simmons plays Commissioner Gordon in the flick, and while Gary Oldman did terrific in the part in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight trilogy, the “Whiplash” actor is a pretty great choice for the role here. Of course he joins Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and everyone else in the epic superhero movie, and is just one of several new characters coming into the mix more prominently including Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg.

“Justice League” opens on November 17, 2017 so it’ll be quite some time until we see Simmons in action, but we’re looking forward to it.
