'80s Fashions Emerge In New Images For 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

X-Men: ApocalypseWhile I’m sure marketing departments know that they’re doing, there are almost as many images for "X-Men: Apocalypse," which opens next year, as there are for "Fantastic Four," which opens next week. I guess we know which movie 20th Century Fox is expecting big bucks from. At any rate, the studio has indeed delivered a few more stills from the latest installment of the X-Men series.

As you likely already know, the next flick will take viewers to the 1980s, where the new generation of mutants face a big threat in the form of Apocalypse. So, they’ll have to reinforce those shoulder pads, breakout the pants suits, and zip up those leather jackets (and use their superpowers) to win the day.

However, on a more serious note, Bryan Singer does look to be upping the ante for his next X-movie, and that means more Quicksilver. "You can’t have him run around a kitchen in the Pentagon again. But I can incorporate him into the movie in a much more appropriate and integral way," he told Empire, who also debuted the new images.

"X-Men Apocalypse" opens on May 27, 2016.
