After today’s shocking reveal that “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour would be exiting Tony Gilroy‘s (“Andor”) L.A.-set drama “Behemoth!” due to “personal reasons,” they’ve already found a replacement, and it’s someone most will be super familiar with. Thank goodness, as they’ve started production.
According to Deadline, they’ve moved fast and landed on casting Canadian actor Will Arnett, who is getting a lot of buzz after recently toplining Bradley Cooper’s midlife crisis stand-up comedy pic “Is This Thing On?.”

The outlet adds in their report that despite the Searchlight Pictures project started filming back in October in California, Harbour’s scenes were “minimal,” allowing for the transition to be less of a headache had he shot more of his scenes before the recasting switch-up. So, that is a bright side here, all things considered.
Others on the film’s call sheet include Pedro Pascal (“Eddington”), who leads the movie alongside Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Matthew Lillard, Margarita Levieva, and Alexa Swinton.
Of course, Arnett is mostly known for a career filled with comedic roles like the beloved wacky family dynamic series “Arrested Development,” but after his acclaimed performance in “Is This Thing On?” he’s likely to be pursuing more dramatic parts. Arnett joining “Behemoth!” is surprising for sure, but certainly a welcome one, and we can’t wait to see how that one shapes out.
