Bryan Singer Says Peter Dinklage Won't Be CGI In 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past,' Says It's "Not A Shy Character"

nullOnce the news came in last week that Peter Dinklage would be joining the cast of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” it did not take long for the rumors to begin swirling about. Would he be playing Puck or Toad? Then we wondered if he could be playing a fully CGI character. Turns out it’ll be none of the above, as director Bryan Singer recently confirmed to IGN.

“He’s not going to be a CGI character. He’ll be himself. Not that he’ll be playing Peter Dinklage, he’ll be playing this character. It’s not a shy character,” Singer teased. While that’s not very much to go by, the more we learn, the more intriguing it all sounds. Although the only thing we actually know at this point is that he will be playing a villain. So, who could Peter Dinklage wind up playing? Has Bryan Singer narrowed it down enough for anyone? Or perhaps he’ll be playing an entirely new character altogether.

Either way, you have to love the idea of Peter Dinklage joining a cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, among many others. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is expected to hit theaters July 18th, 2014. Let the speculation continue.
