This morning, the 2015 Cannes Film Festival line-up was revealed, and that means if you’re an adult who loves dramas, foreign films, or art movies, you’re probably celebrating a kind of early Christmas. With the announcement — though note, probably one or two more films will eventually be announced between now and May 13th — comes a lot of promotional reveals and, in this case, lots of photos. You can check out first look photos of Jesse Eisenberg in Joachim Trier’s “Louder Than Bombs” here, but there are more, many of them featured on our most anticipated films of 2015 list, so let’s get into them below briefly.
First up, a new photo of Todd Haynes’ “Carol,” starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara. Set in 1950s New York, the story centers on a department-store clerk (Rooney) who dreams of a better life and falls for an older, married woman (Blanchett). It’s based on Patricia Highsmith‘s 1952 romance novel, "The Price Of Salt." [via the Carol Movie FB page]
Up next, Greek weirdwave filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos‘s English-language debut, "The Lobster." It’s a science fiction romantic comedy-drama that stars Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Ben Whishaw, Olivia Colman, Léa Seydoux, and John C. Reilly.

Denis Villeneuve‘s crime saga “Sicario” is definitely one of our most anticipated films of 2015. The film stars Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, and Jon Bernthal, and here’s a first look of Del Toro in the movie.
Long in the works, and featured on our The 20 Most Anticipated Foreign Films Of 2015 list, here’s a new photo and poster of Hou Hsiao-Hsien‘s "The Assassin" (Note it’s been in the works for so long it landed on our of our foreign anticipated lists from 2012).
Paolo Sorrentino‘s career soared even higher in 2013 when he won the foreign language Academy Award for "The Great Beauty." His follow-up, “Youth,” is his second English-language effort and stars the notable cast of Rachel Weisz, Michael Caine, Jane Fonda, Paul Dano, and Harvey Keitel.
Nanni Moretti is a Cannes favorite, and he’s back with "Mia Madre," which stars Margherita Buy, John Turturro, and Giulia Lazzarini.We’ve already seen a first look of Matteo Garrone‘s “The Tale Of Tales” (and its first trailer), starring Salma Hayek, Vincent Cassel, Toby Jones, and John C Reilly, but here are a few new photos and a poster.
Lastly, we have new photos of Corneliu Porumboiu‘s "The Treasure," playing in Un Certain Regard; Jia Zhangke‘s “Mountains May Depart,” a poster for Kiyoshi Kurosawa‘s "Journey To The Shore," also playing in the same section; and finally, perhaps a little less sexy since there’s not a lot to it, a sales poster from Natalie Portman‘s full-length directorial debut, “A Tale Of Love & Darkness.”
