'Devil All The Time' First Look: Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson & Many More Star In Antonio Campos' Netflix Drama

Major film studios might be pulling their features from September and pushing into 2021 already, due to the COVID-19 pandemic keeping theaters shut down until later this month, but that doesn’t mean the fall is devoid of big-name features. In fact, one of the most anticipated films, “The Devil All The Time,” is coming in September and you won’t even have to leave your house to watch it.

As seen in the first look photos for Netflix’s upcoming feature, “The Devil All The Time” has one of the biggest casts of the year, headlined by the likes of Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, Mia Wasikowska, and Eliza Scanlen. And if that cast isn’t enough to gain your attention, how about the fact that the drama is written and directed by Antonio Campos, the man behind films such as “Christine” and “Afterschool,” as well as episodes of TNT’s “The Sinner?”

“The Devil All the Time” is a generations-spanning drama that follows the saga of a Midwest family through the years right after World War II and up until the Vietnam War. The film is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel of the same name. And according to an interview with EW, Campos explained what was so difficult about adapting his latest feature.

“It was a hard book to adapt also because there was so much that we loved,” said Campos. “I’m a big fan of southern gothic and noir and this was a perfect marriage of the two. Sometimes you might be adapting a piece and you think like, Well, there is a seed of a good idea here and I’ll just throw everything away and start from scratch. In this case it was like, we love everything!”

Netflix is set to debut “The Devil All The Time” on September 16. You can see all the first look photos below.
