Evan Peters Talks Quicksilver Storyline In 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' Hugh Jackman Rumored For Reshoots

X-Men: Days Of Future PastQuicksilver was easily the hit character of "X-Men: Days Of Future Past," and the word is that director Bryan Singer has much more planned for the mutant in "X-Men: Apocalypse." He has already teased a sequence that will raise the bar on the prison break scene from ‘DOFP,’ but it looks like we’ll be getting more time with the character himself, with Evan Peters sharing with Details his story arc in the upcoming film.

"It’s the biggest X-Men film. It’s about the apocalypse, so the scope of the film is huge," he said. "….the story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world."

It’s probably worth noting at this juncture, that in the comics, it’s Magneto who is Quicksilver’s father. So it’ll be interesting to see if Singer and co. go down that path or play with the character’s origin story.

Meanwhile, though principal photography wrapped this summer, as per usual, reshoots are scheduled and will find some of the cast and crew returning to Montreal this winter. And according to Le Journal De Montreal, Hugh Jackman might be part of those reshoots, though nothing is officially confirmed. Wolverine has been rumored to appear in the movie and frankly, I’d be surprised if he didn’t.
