New Images From Claire Denis' 'High Life' Give Our Best Look Yet At The Robert Pattinson Sci-Fi Film

We have been following the progress of Claire Denis’ sci-fi drama “High Life” since October 2015. Back then, we were excited about the idea of Denis working on a sci-fi film with Robert Pattinson, even though most of the details about the film were still unclear. Now, well over two years later, we are finally getting a proper idea of what “High Life” is going to look like.

Vanity Fair recently published some “first look” images of the film, and while you can’t tell if a film is going to be great or horrible based on some stills, “High Life” just keeps looking better and better. One thing is for sure, the film is going to be beautiful.

“High Life” tells the story of a group of criminals that are promised freedom if they go to space to investigate the possibility of alternative energy near a black hole. However, the plan is too good to be true for the criminals, who find themselves being experimented on as they journey through space. “High Life” stars Robert Pattinson, Mia Goth, Juliette Binoche, and Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000). The script was written by Denis, Jean-Pol Fargeau, Nick Laird, and Zadie Smith.

While we still don’t have a firm release date, we do know that production on the film ended last year, so we’re still holding out hope that “High Life” will be premiered at some point in 2018. Perhaps we were trying to will it into existence by including it in our 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2018 list.

Regardless of when it finally gets a premiere, “High Life” is one of the most exciting projects that we’re following. With a filmmaker on the level of Denis, and a cast full of interesting actors, this has the potential to be something really special.
