Listen: Full 'Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Soundtrack By Hans Zimmer & Junkie XL

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of JusticeFollowing his work on Christopher Nolan‘s "The Dark Knight" trilogy, Hans Zimmer stepped into the world of Superman, scoring Zack Snyder‘s "Man Of Steel." However, when the opportunity came up to work on "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice," the composer had some reservations about making music for Batman again. So Junkie XL (aka Tom Holkenborg) was brought in, and the word was they would split duties, with Zimmer focusing on Superman-centric jams, and Holkenborg doing his thing for Bruce Wayne. But it didn’t actually play out that way in the end.

“Originally, my plan was — and this is really the truth — ‘Oh yeah, it’s going to be easy, I got that Superman theme, and I’m going to make my friend Tom here write the new Batman theme.’ And then, I think if I really look back on it, I couldn’t entirely let go. So we had to do it together,” Zimmer told Collider. The pair wound up collaborating on the entire score, which is why they are co-credited on all the tracks.

The result? You can listen to the whole thing below. The soundtrack is now available on CD, 2-disc deluxe CD, and on Limited Edition 3-disc deluxe vinyl on March 18th. The film opens on March 25th.
