Nic Cage Is A Janitor Who Must Fight Murderous Animatronic Characters In The Upcoming 'Wally's Wonderland'

If you’re a filmmaker and you have landed Nicolas Cage in your project, the odds are your film is one of two things — 1) a self-serious action thriller that doesn’t have the best script and hardly a budget, but somehow you were able to land Cage or 2) one of the most bizarre premises that can only work with someone with the manic, genius energy of Cage. And in the case of “Wally’s Wonderland,” we are happy to report the film is clearly in the latter camp.

According to Landafar Entertainment, JD Entertainment, Saturn Films, Almost Never Films, and Screen Media Ventures (yep, that’s a lot of studios), Cage has agreed to star in the upcoming film “Wally’s Wonderland.” And if you’re a fan of some truly unhinged Nic Cage action, this film seems like it won’t disappoint.

Here’s the synopsis:

Wally’s Wonderland has a dark secret and when THE JANITOR (Cage) is forced to spend the night in the twisted amusement park he is pulled into a living nightmare. As the threatening animatronic characters come to life, The Janitor has to fight his way from one monster to another to survive until morning and get out of the park.

You read that right. This film has murderous animatronic characters coming to life and only a janitor, played by Cage, can save the day. Maybe this says a lot about my film acumen and my bonafides (or lack thereof) as a cinephile, but I couldn’t be more excited about a film. If I knew which theater it was going to play at right now, I’d already be camped outside.

“Wally’s Wonderland” is set to be directed by Kevin Lewis, based on a script by G.O. Parsons. Grant Cramer, Jeremy Davis, and Danny Roth.

“For me there was always one actor and one actor only who could make this movie work, and that actor is Nick Cage,” said Lewis. “I’m thrilled to be working with him and can’t wait to see him go up against Wally and his gang of psychopathic misfits. I see this movie as ‘Pale Rider’ vs ‘Killer Klowns from Outer Space.’”

“Pale Rider” vs ‘Killer Klowns,’ you say? Yes, please!

“Wally’s Wonderland” is set to begin production in January.
