"No One's Called Me": Chris Pratt Says He's Not Whip-Cracking As Indiana Jones Yet

Guardians Of The GalaxyAnd so the dance of rumors followed by denials and evasion begins, and you can get used to it. Because if Steven Spielberg really is going to direct another Indiana Jones movie with Chris Pratt as his lead, he’s got two movies to finish first: his Cold War drama with Tom Hanks, and "The B.F.G." Moreover, it looks like the military drama "Thank You For Your Service" will follow. So there’s going to be a lot of knowing nothing official about "Indiana Jones 5" for a while. And so, it’s no surprise that Chris Pratt’s phone isn’t ringing just yet.

"No one’s called me" he told MTV on the Oscar red carpet about the possibility of cracking the whip. “It’s all nothing until it’s something, and so far? It’s not something,” he also stated about the brewing rumors. But if anything, the internet loves turning nothing into something. And I’d wager his phone won’t ring anytime soon, as no writer has been announced, and there’s no script, which seems to be contingent on Spielberg’s involvement (though he did direct "Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull," so that’s a pretty low bar). So this is all very, very early at best, and seems to be just a little more than an idea being considered.

So don’t get too excited just yet. This project is years away and Disney has already said "Star Wars" is their first priority from Lucasfilm. But are they thinking about it? Sure.
