Rose Byrne Has An 'Internship' With Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughn

Rose ByrneFrankly, you could shoot Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn doing their taxes, then mowing the lawn and having a nap, and we'd probably watch it and love it. Those dudes crack us up ("Wedding Crashers" rules, "Starsky & Hutch" is pretty hilarious) so thank God for Shawn Levy (wow, never thought we'd type that out) for bringing them together again in "The Internship." And he's not skimping on the supporting cast either.

With Max Minghella signing up recently, EW reports that the latest to board is the multi-talented Rose Byrne. Seen on the small screen in "Damages," while nailing the less showy role of the prissy best friend rival in last year's "Bridesmaids," Byrne has shown she's at ease in a variety of genres including horror ("28 Weeks Later"), sci-fi ("Sunshine") and your run-of-the-mill blockbusters ("X-Men: First Class"). In this film, Vaughn and Wilson play recently downsized men in their forties who try to make it as interns at a successful Internet company where their managers are in their twenties. Byrne will play an upper management person who "starts fishing off the company pier" when Wilson starts a relationship with an exec.

The film starts shooting on July 9th and we presume will be positioned for blockbuster season release sometime next year. While we're not huge on Levy's CV, if he just leaves Wilson and Vaughn to do their thing, this should turn out fine.
