Sometimes, it feels like everything that can go wrong with a project will go wrong. Take Martin Scorsese‘s “Silence,” for example; that film fell apart continuously for thirty years after production, location scouting, rights, and legal battles plagued the project before it finally found funding. However, that’s a rare case of a film persevering against all odds. Some films just seemingly aren’t meant to be made. Such is the case with “Ness,” formerly titled “Torso” which was going to be one of Paul Greengrass’ (the ‘Bourne‘ series, “Captain Phillips“) next films.

Bruce Willis reportedly has been offered lead roles in three upcoming action pictures. “Inventory” will find Willis as a detective on the trail of a murder; “Red” will see the glabrous, tough-guy star as a retired black-ops agent who is forced to come out for ‘one last job’ when a high-tech assassin comes a-callin’ to threaten him and his girlfriend; and in “Scarpa” Willis will star as Greg Scarpa, an FBI informant who worked deeply undercover in New York’s Colombo family – reports though, say “Scarpa” is looking unlikely for Willis.

There’s been a longstanding “rumor” that the director and Paramount had butted heads in September over the exorbitant length of ‘Benjamin Button’ — then reportedly, three-plus hours long.
