Sharon Tate's Sister Gives Blessing To Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'

As film fans, it’s hard to understand how there are people out there that are not looking forward to Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The film has all the makings of a Tarantino classic, with an all-star cast and a fantastic premise. But as film fans, we often look past the fact that the film will tackle the very real, very brutal murder of Sharon Tate by the Manson Family.

One of those people who was originally offended by the idea of ‘Once Upon a Time’ tackling Sharon Tate’s (played in the film by Margot Robbie) murder is none other than Tate’s sister Debra. She has become vocal recently, voicing her displeasure, specifically with the original release date being on the 50th anniversary of the killings. However, according to an interview with TMZ, Debra says that’s all water under the bridge, thanks to a meeting with Tarantino.

Debra Tate says that Tarantino explained the plot to put her mind at ease. She says, “This movie is not what people would expect it to be when you combine the Tarantino and Manson names.” Debra Tate is also pleased that Sony moved the release date up a couple weeks, to avoid the 50th anniversary, saying that the original August 2019 date was “tacky and exploitative.”
