The Original 'Star Wars' Trilogy Returns To Theaters This Summer

Star WarsLast fall, John Landis got up fanboy hopes when he said the theatrical cuts of the original "Star Wars" trilogy would be-released. Well, only half of that turned out to be true, and probably not the half you wanted.

This summer, the original "Star Wars" trilogy to big screens across the country. Pretty awesome, right? Well, unfortunately, it’s going to be 1997 re-release version where Han Solo shoots second, and George Lucas dressed the pictures with more special effects, and added scenes, that for the most part, were not necessary at all. But for many people, these are the versions they grew up with, so it’ll still be great fun to see the trilogy on the biggest screen possible with a bunch of likeminded fans. For the rest of us, we’ll keep waiting for those original theatrical cuts to show up, one day….
