Watch: Bond Is Back In New Trailer For 'Spectre' With Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, And More

SpectreWhile the James Bond series has never been healthier, the times have certainly changed for 007. Once content to sip martinis and bed various beauties, all while saving the world, in the modern era, women can no longer be mere window dressing for the secret agent. And in the forthcoming "Spectre," actresses Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, and Stephanie Sigman, all new to the franchise, won’t just be sitting idly by.

“The women in this film have a very strong position,” Seydoux told USA Today. She plays Bond’s love interest, Madeliene Swann, plus she’s a doctor to boot. “She’s quite unexpected. She’s strong — not like him, but she’s powerful. And they need each other to resolve their problems,” she said about her character.

However, jumping into an iconic series brings with it a lot of pressure, but Sigman is happy to embrace it. "That makes me nervous because that’s on me — I didn’t have this before," said the "Miss Bala" star. "It feels strange, but when you’re not nervous, it’s boring. If you’re nervous because of something, it’s probably worth it."

Co-starring Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Naomi Harris, Ralph Fiennes, and more, "Spectre" opens on October 26th in the UK and November 6th in the US. Watch below.
