Watch: Disaster Strikes California In New Trailer For ‘San Andreas’ With Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario & More

San Andreas“Where will you be? Who will you be with when it all falls apart?” Yep, that’s the tagline for “San Andreas," the new disaster film where Hollywood imagines their own state crumbling into the Pacific Ocean for good. The plot? A rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey across the state in the aftermath of a massive Californian earthquake in order to rescue his estranged daughter.

Papa is played by Dwayne Johnson, the daughter by Alexandra Daddario ("True Detective"), and along for the ride on the mission is Carla Gugino. The movie reunited Johnson with Brad Peyton, who directed the former WWE star in "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island." Here’s the official synopsis.

After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Johnson) and his estranged wife (Gugino) make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over… it’s just getting started.

Co-starring Kylie Minogue, Ioan Gruffudd, Archie Panjabi, Hugo Johnstone-Burt and Art Parkinson, “San Andreas” hits theaters on May 29th in Real 3D no less (yes, that’s still a thing). Watch the new trailer below to feel the full force of the destruction.
