Watch: Finn And Rey Bond In New TV Spot For 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Star Wars: The Force AwakensWhile the promotion machine for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is rolling hard for Disney and Lucasfilm, be prepared to feel the wrath if you try to piggyback on the movie without their approval. It’s a lesson Air France has learned, after they rolled out a package to fly diehard American fans to France to see the movie one whole day early, with flight, movie ticket, and transportation to the multiplex all included in the price. The problem is that none of it was cleared with Disney and Lucasfilm, and as THR points out, while the promo still seems to be happening, the page for it is now bizarrely absent of the film’s logos or even the words "Star Wars." Looks like somebody lawyered up.

Meanwhile, if you’re in New York City, you can check out a very official "Star Wars" costume exhibit at Discovery Times Square, and C-3PO himself, Anthony Daniels, was on hand to help get the word. He spoke with Associated Press, and shouted out J.J. Abrams’ "courage" in taking on the franchise. You can check that out below.

And speaking of the director, he’s addressed the question of "Where’s Luke?" and obviously, it’s a calculated move to keep the character out of the advertising so far. “No one forgot about him!” he told EW. “We were hoping people would care, but there are a lot of things that are not on the poster, as busy as the poster is. Certainly Luke is a very important aspect of the story.”

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens on December 18th. Check out the new TV spot below with some glimpses of new footage.
