Watch: Go Undercover With Red Band Trailer For 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'

Kingsman: The Secret ServiceWhen Fox pushed "Kingsman: The Secret Service" from its original fall release date to next year, the question was whether or not it was a quality issue or simply putting the film into a better time frame. And the more we see from this movie, the more it looks like the release date push was a smart play from the studio. Certainly, the fall was already crowded with blockbusters ("The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1," "Interstellar," "The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies") but they were also rather straight-faced. ‘Kingsman’? Not so much. Actually, not at all. So early winter feels like a better fit for the film. Need proof? Well, here’s a new red band trailer.

With the filmmakers already promising to ditch the serious spy thrills you’ll get in the Bond series for something much more balls out, this trailer certainly lives up to that ambition. Colin Firth leads the movie as a member of the titular spy agency, who recruits a young kid into the fold just as Samuel L. Jackson‘s lispy villain plots a global clusterfuck. And based on the comic by "Kick-Ass" creator Mark Millar, this has a very similar tone — so if you liked that movie, also directed by Matthew Vaughn, you’ll probably dig this.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" opens on February 13th. Red band and green band trailers below.
