Barring a “Shaun of the Dead” or two the horror-comedy sub-genre has recently mostly been littered with Wayans-involved stuff like the “Scary Movie” franchise or this year’s abysmal “A Haunted House.” Now “Reno 911!” and “Night At The Museum” (really) writing-acting duo Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant are making their entry into the pantheon with their directorial debut “Hell Baby.” A new red-band trailer has arrived below so make sure your boss isn’t looking and check it out.
Premiering earlier this year at Sundance, the horror-comedy hybrid garnered some mixed-to-positive reviews and looking at the trailer it’s easy to see why, as the quality seems very straight-to-VOD. Starring Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb as a pregnant couple that move into a run-down house that bears some deadly secrets. Soon it becomes clear there is a great evil in the house as one of them become possessed. Keegan-Michael Key, Riki Lindhome, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, Michael Ian Black and the directors themselves also co-star. Boobs and weed jokes abound.
“Hell Baby” delivers on September 6th. Watch below.
