Watch: Roll With The Navy SEALs In 4 Clips From ‘Lone Survivor’ Starring Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster & More

Lone Survivor

In the midst of this overcrowded month, it can be easy to lose track of all the films that are being released this holiday season. “Lone Survivor” looks to ease the situation by waiting until January before expanding to theaters nationwide. The Afghan-war film is based on the very real and tragic story of former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell and stars Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, and Eric Bana. One of our own colleagues liked “Lone Survivor”, but had his reservations about the film when he caught it over at the AFI Film Fest. In his review, he called it “a deeply intense, detached museum piece” and praised Ben Foster’s performance for humanizing his character “with a full-spirited passion and sensitive humor.” Now, four new clips from the film have just been released to help paint you a picture as to what this movie will be about.

As shown in the trailer, it seems one of the most crucial moments in the film is between the four Navy SEALs as they debate whether to kill two unarmed civilians or let them go. The debate is tense and you can see two forms of this discussion in two of the clips below. Elsewhere, we get to see a little bit of Bana’s character as he goes into detail about their mission and, at last, we see a lighter moment between the SEALs as they give one of their comrades grief over the possibility of his wife being pregnant.

Be sure to check out the clips below. “Lone Survivor” gets a limited release on Christmas Day and goes nationwide on January 10th. [Flicks And Bits]
